That same year, he became a union activist with NIFTUC. He joined C.CAWDU in 2002 as a volunteer staff member, was elected General Secretary in 2006, and later became its president in 2019. In parallel, he joined CLC in 2006 and was elected president in 2024. He also assumed international leadership in 2016 as Co-Chair of IndustriAll\u2019s global union for TGSL.
