លោកសាស្ត្រាចារ្យ Shandre M. Thangavelu ជាប្រធានវិទ្យាស្ថាន Jeffrey Cheah Institute for Southeast Asia និងជាអ្នកជំនាញជាន់ខ្ពស់នៅមជ្ឈមណ្ឌល Jeffrey Sachs ដើម្បីការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព នៃសាកលវិទ្យាល័យ Sunway, ប្រទេសម៉ាឡេស៊ី។ លោកសាស្ត្រាចារ្យ ក៏បម្រើការងារនៅសាកលវិទ្យាល័យ Adelaide នៃប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលី ផងដែរ។ នៅឆ្នាំ២០២១ លោក ត្រូវបានតែងតាំងជាទីប្រឹក្សាផ្នែកពាណិជ្ជកម្ម នៃក្រសួងពាណិជ្ជកម្មកម្ពុជា ដោយត្រូវបាន ទទួលបានទទួលគ្រឿងឥស្សរិយយស មេដាយសុវត្ថារ៉ា នៅក្នុងឆ្នាំ ២០២៣ ពីការចូលរួមចំណែកជំរុញកំណើនពាណិជ្ជកម្ម និងសេដ្ឋកិច្ចកម្ពុជា។ លោកក៏ជាអ្នកជំនាញផ្នែកមូលធនមនុស្ស ការវិនិយោគផ្ទាល់ពីបរទេស និងសមាហរណកម្មអាស៊ាន។ លោកសាស្ត្រាចារ្យជាអ្នកនិពន្ធដ៏មានឥទ្ធិពលម្នាក់ ដោយមានស្នាដៃជាច្រើន រួមទាំង សៀវភៅស្តីពីសមាហរណកម្មសេដ្ឋកិច្ចអាស៊ីបូព៌ាជាដើម។ លោកសាស្ត្រាចារ្យ បានទទួលសញ្ញាបត្រថ្នាក់បណ្ឌិត និងអនុបណ្ឌិតពី Queen’s University ប្រទេសកាណាដា និងបរិញ្ញាបត្រពីសាកលវិទ្យាល័យ Winnipeg។

Professor Shandre M. Thangavelu is the President of the Jeffrey Cheah Institute for Southeast Asia and Senior Fellow at the Jeffrey Sachs Centre for Sustainable Development at Sunway University, Malaysia. He also serves at the University of Adelaide, Australia. In 2021, he was appointed Trade Advisor to Cambodia’s Minister of Commerce and was honored with the Royal Order of Sowathara in 2023 for his contributions to Cambodia’s trade and economic growth. An expert in human capital, FDI, and ASEAN integration, he has authored several influential works, including The Handbook of East Asian Economic Integration. He holds a PhD from Queen’s University, a Master of Arts from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor with honors from the University of Winnipeg.
