លោក ម៉ា សុភា បានចូលបម្រើការនៅធនាគារអភិវឌ្ឍន៍អាស៊ី (ADB) ក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០០៣ និងបម្រើការជាមន្ត្រីគម្រោងជាន់ខ្ពស់ (ការអប់រំ និងជំនាញ) ដោយចូលរួមជាអ្នកដឹកនាំបេសកកម្មសម្រាប់គម្រោង និងកម្មវិធីក្នុងវិស័យអប់រំ និងជំនាញ។ មុនពេលបម្រើការងារជាមួយ ADB លោក ធ្លាប់ជាអ្នកគ្រប់គ្រងកម្មវិធីជាតិ និងជាប្រធានទីប្រឹក្សាបច្ចេកទេសសម្រាប់ អង្គការអន្តរជាតិខាងការងារ (ILO) ពីឆ្នាំ១៩៩៥ ដោយបម្រើការនៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងបង់ក្លាដែស (២០០៩-២០១១)។

Mr. Mar Sophea joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2003 and serves as Senior Project Officer (Education and Skills) and co-mission leader for projects and programs in education and skills. Before working with ADB, Mr. Mar was the National Program Manager and Chief Technical Advisor for the International Labour Organization (ILO) from 1995, serving in both Cambodia and Bangladesh (2009-2011).
